It is the place where rock 'n' roll was born! Originally opened in 1952 right here in Memphis, Sun Studios served as the launching pad for performers such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. It was inside those wall that the rock 'n' roll genre was created. This metal sign is in the style of the label found on the original singles produced by sun in its early days.
